Hello, 2010

I think most of us are glad to see the past year go and are looking forward to a way better 2010.

The past year has marked a lot of changes for me personally. I graduated from college, went through a personal crisis (it still feels like I'm still in that state sometimes) and entered law school. I made new friends, lost old friends and regained lost friendships. I traveled and learned a whole lot of new things.

The new year is a clean slate, sort of. It's another cycle, another 365 days to take risks --- risk failure but at the same time to also risk to be happy, just like one deserves to be happy.

So here's to the New Year! May this year be everything you hope it to be and so much more.

Amici

Early dinner at Amici with Ian Tan and James before doing some shopping (not on my part). It was traffic going to Megamall and the Christmas crowd is just crazy.

How are you guys faring with your Christmas shopping? I haven't even started I have no idea how I am going to pull this off in a week's time on top of the upcoming stressful class week.

Canan

For those who live in the Katipunan area there's this really nice place near Bo's called Canan that serves good food at student prices and has a nice ambiance to boot. My friend, Ma-anne, has been plugging it for months now and last Monday I finally got to eat there as we had a lunch meeting for a class report.

The only problem that I have about it is that it's small so it might be hard to get a table sometimes. Good thing when we got there it was past lunch time.

Thank yous

I received a couple of lovely presents today.

The first one I got from Ma-anne's mom who just got back from a trip to the States.

And the second one is from my dear friend Reese who lives in the States now (hello, I know you are reading this! Haha).

The presents are lovely and will be appearing here and in this site very often, I tell you.

Thank you so much! And Reese, cheers to what you wrote in your note! I'll remember it every time I wear the necklace. Haha. I miss you.

An apple a day

A lot of people have been getting sick lately. It must be the weather. I, for one, have been feeling under the weather lately that all I wanted to do these past few days was to stay in bed the entire day and watch Will and Grace reruns.

I've also recently discovered that tea, mint particularly, is good when you feel like crap. That plus apples, lots and lots of apples. It seems to be the only thing I'm eating. All other things taste bland.

I miss real food. Well, my kind of food.

And the photos of the all-you-can-eat sushi I had at Ebisu the other weekend with James and Jeff (thank you!) only makes me crave for 'real' food some more.

Goodnight. I need to rest.
